We’re building a friendly, supportive volunteer team to help create a great experience for everyone—attendees, vendors, and fellow volunteers alike.

Volunteer Roles

Thank you for being part of Canton Pickle Fest! Volunteers help create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable experience for all guests, vendors, and families.

Below are the different ways you may support the event:

🛠️ Event Setup & Cleanup

Help us prepare the space before the festival and leave it better than we found it afterward.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with setup before the event

• Helping with teardown and cleanup after the festival

• Supporting general organization of event areas

🚗 Parking Attendants

Help guests arrive safely and start their experience on a positive note.

Responsibilities may include:

• Directing vehicles to parking areas

• Assisting with traffic flow

• Helping guests locate accessible parking and drop-off areas

• Providing general directions to the event entrance

🙋 Guest Services & Official Booth

Be a friendly, helpful presence for guests throughout the event.

Responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming guests and answering questions

• Distributing maps and event information

• Helping guests find key areas (restrooms, activities, sensory space, etc.)

• Assisting with official merchandise (if needed)

• Supporting the raffle benefiting the Akron-Canton Food Bank

🎨 Kids Art Tent & Activities

Support families and help create a fun, creative space for kids.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with arts and crafts activities

• Welcoming families into the space

• Helping manage supplies and keep the area organized

• Supporting scavenger hunt participation and prize verification

⏰ Volunteer Shifts

We offer flexible volunteer shifts:

• Morning Shift

• Afternoon Shift

👕 Volunteer Perks

As a thank you for your time, all volunteers will receive:

• A Canton Pickle Fest volunteer t-shirt

• A meal from Chick-fil-A

• Drinks and snacks available throughout the day

💛 Creating a Welcoming & Inclusive Experience

All volunteers help support an accessible and inclusive event.

This may include:

• Helping guests find important areas like restrooms, seating, or the sensory space

• Directing guests to the official booth for additional help

• Being patient, kind, and supportive with all guests
